My Dad and his Research Journey

June 17, 2022 By: PerkyParkie4 Comments

When my Dad told me he was going to enroll in a Parkinson’s research study, I wasn’t that surprised. You see, my Dad has always been on the Parkinson’s sidelines, cheering loudly for the success of my ongoing battle with PD. But when he told me they were flying him out to San Fransisco to have a DaT Scan, I was impressed. I would tell you all about his adventures, but that would take all the fun out of hearing it through his eyes… that sounds so weird “hearing” through “eyes”. You get the point. Here is the blog post where he details his road to PPMI on the Micheal J Fox Foundation webpage. Enjoy!

      Hi Diane,

When You Lose Part Of Your Wolfpack

It’s not often that I don’t have any words to express how I am feeling. I have lost a close friend. Her name was Sharon. I called her Shar-Bear.  She called me Amazing Allison, but truthfully, she was the amazing one.  I met her at the Parkinson’s Long Beach Marathon over 10 years ago.  She and her husband, […]
